Learn More About ICD-10

The ICD-10 code set transition is required for everyone covered by the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) and October 1, 2015, is the mandated compliance date for this transition.

Hometown Health is currently testing our ICD-10 processing systems and we expect to be compliant by the mandated deadline. Please be aware, claim requests submitted after October 1, 2015, that are not ICD-10 compliant will be rejected.

As of July 1, 2015, Hometown Health began accepting pre-certification requests in the ICD-10 format. If you are scheduling procedures that will take place after October 1, 2015, you will need to submit the pre-certification request in the ICD-10 code set.

Hometown Health understands and appreciates what the ICD-10 transition has meant to providers and we want to work with you to ensure your claims are quickly and accurately processed. Your efforts to submit claims in the ICD-10 code set by the compliance date of October 1, 2015, will be mutually beneficial.
